The hearing has been conducted through Video Conferencing. 2.

This writ petition is filed by the petitioner for grant of parole of eight weeks on the grounds the father of the petitioner has since expired on 24.04.2020 due to sudden heart attack. 3.

The factum of death of his father has since been verified by the State and a report dated 20.05.2020 is filed on record. The nominal roll dated 19.05.2020 filed by the Jail Superintendent shows the petitioner has spent nearly three years in custody, though has been sentenced to life imprisonment.

It is stated earlier also on 09.02.2020 the petitioner moved an application for parole before the Jail Superintendent for getting the admission of his child in school as also to establish social ties, but W.P.(CRL.) 820/2020

such application is still pending consideration and that in the meanwhile, the father of petitioner had expired, hence this petition. The parole is required for completion of last rites of his deceased father.

Considering the report filed by the SHO police station Tilak Marg, New Delhi as also considering the nature of prayer made viz for completing last rites of his father, the petitioner is hereby granted parole till 15.06.2020 on his executing a personal bond of Rs.20,000/- to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent/Duty MM. The surety bond in the like amount shall also be furnished by the petitioner within a week as and when the learned Trial Court resumes its normal functioning. However, if the period of parole expires before the learned Trial Court starts / resumes its normal functioning and the petitioner surrenders, then there would be no need to furnish the surety before it.

In view of above, the petition stands disposed of. Pending application(s), if any, also stands disposed of. 7.
