The hearing has been conducted via video-conferencing. 2.

This writ petition is filed by the petitioner seeking a direction to the respondent to provide adequate protection to the petitioner to ensure that the petitioner is protected from illegal actions/attacks of her relatives. 3.

The writ petition narrates various incidents of attacks allegedly made by some of the relatives.

On the last date, the State was directed to file a status report. 5.

Learned counsel for the State has not yet been able to login for carrying out hearing through video conferencing. 6.

However, learned counsel for the petitioner points out that a copy of the status report was received by him yesterday by e-mail. He states that as per the status report, phone number of the concerned SHO has been provided to the petitioner. The status report also confirms to various complaints made by the petitioner. Copy of the same is not on record. 7.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a senior citizen above 72 years of age and lives alone with the domestic help-cum-security guard.

In these facts and circumstances, in case, the petitioner is threatened, she is free to contact the concerned SHO whose number has been provided to her. In case, such an issue still arises, the SHO would also take appropriate steps as per law. The beat constable of the area will also visit the petitioner once in a week and provide his phone number to the petitioner.

At this stage, learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner is also experiencing difficulty in filing complaints with the concerned police station as the concerned official does not receive the same. In case, the petitioner files a complaint, the concerned police station may receive the same and take steps as per law. 10.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that for the time being nothing further survives in this petition.

In view of the above directions, petition is disposed of as above. All pending applications, if any, are also disposed of. JAYANT NATH, J.
