% 22.06.2020 Crl. M.A. No.7865/2020 (exemption) Exemption is granted, subject to the applicant completing all requirements of filing certified copies of annexures, duly attested affidavits and requisite court fees within 10 days of physical reopening of courts. The application stands disposed of.

Crl. M.A. No.7864/2020 (for extension of interim bail) Mr. Tarang Srivastava, learned APP submits that the State has filed status report dated 20.06.2020 pursuant to last order dated 19.06.2020. Although the status report is not on record, a copy has been forwarded via e-mail. Let the status report be brought on record. 2.

The status report confirms that the applicant has received treatment at Maharana Pratap District Combined Hospital, Bareilly and Bail Appl. No.956/2020 Page of

the doctors have issued Out-Patient Department Record dated 16.06.2020, which has been verified.

Mr. Srivastava informs the court that written queries were sent from the office of the ACP vidé letter dated 18.06.2020, to which written reply has been received from the Medical Superintendent, Maharana Pratap District Combined Hospital vidé communication dated 19.06.2020, which confirms the injury and that the applicant has been advised 03 weeks' complete rest. Copies of the aforesaid documents have been annexed with the status report. The State has nevertheless opposed further extension of interim bail on the ground that the applicant may indulge in drug-trafficking activities again if granted extension.

However, considering the fact that applicant has sustained injury to his spine ; is under treatment at the said hospital; and doctors have advised the applicant 03 weeks' complete rest, interim bail granted to the applicant is extended by a further period of 04 weeks, reckoned from the date when the previous extension runs-out. In doing so, this court has also borne in mind order dated 15.06.2020 made in W.P.(C) No.3037/2020 titled Court on Its Own Motion vs. State & Ors., whereby a Full Bench of this court has extended interim orders by reason of the prevailing pandemic.

The terms and conditions of the interim bail shall remain unaltered. The bail bond furnished earlier shall remain valid towards the extension granted by this order.
