O R D E R

% 15.06.2020 We have noted the developments which have taken place thus far in our previous order.

The petitioner submits that so far as the Nepal is concerned, apart from the diplomatic channel, India has also an arrangement in place to deal with offenders and criminals through interaction between the Home departments of the two countries.

Considering the fact that the whereabouts of the petitioner's minor daughter have been located, which happens to be Nepal - which is a foreign country; diplomatic channels for recovery of the petitioner's daughter have already been activated by the Indian authorities, in these proceedings, we are not inclined to pass any further orders. At the same time, we direct the State to ensure that all steps are taken in a timely and efficient manner to ensure

retrieval of the petitioner's daughter and the accused from Nepal. The State shall continue to file further status reports before the Magistrate concerned before whom the case is pending. The petitioner should also be kept informed of the developments which take place. It shall be open to the petitioner to approach the Magistrate concerned for such further directions as may be called for in the circumstances of the case. We hope that the petitioner's daughter/ accused would be retrieved within the next three months by the Indian authorities with the cooperation of the Nepalese Government.
