The present petition has been filed by the Petitioner - Ms. Bisnu Mayar under Article 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India inter alia seeking release of the gold items, which were seized by the Customs Department vide Detention Receipt No. 54164 (New Detention Receipt No. 38347) dated 15th July 2024 (hereinafter, 'detention receipt'). The Customs Department had seized two gold kadas weighing 46 grams and 30 grams respectively, and one ring weighing 7 grams of the Petitioner (hereinafter, 'items'). 3.
On the last date i.e. 1st April 2025, ld. Counsel for the Respondents sought time to obtain instructions.

Today, ld. Counsel for the Respondents submits on instructions that the Petitioner can appear before the Customs Department and an order would be passed releasing the items and permitting re-export as the Petitioner is a The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Considering the nature of the items which have been seized, such a formal order would not be required. In the present case, the weight of the items also shows that these items are personal effects which belong to the Petitioner and in any case, the Petitioner has undertaken to re-export the same. 6.
The items shall accordingly be released to the Petitioner within a period of two weeks from today. No warehousing charges shall be charged in the facts of this case.

The petition is disposed of. Pending applications, if any, are also disposed of.
