The hearing has been held through video conferencing. 2.

The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to respondent no.2 and 3 to register the FIR under appropriate section, against respondent nos.4 to 7 and their accomplices. The petitioner also prays that orders be passed directing respondent nos.2 and 3 to provide police protection to the petitioner and his family as they fear harm at the hands of respondent nos.4 to 7. 3.

A plain reading of the petition indicates that there are disputes between the petitioner and respondent nos.4 to 7 on account of the failure of the petitioner to pay salary/wages to the said respondents. 4.

Mr Lao, learned ASC appearing for the State states that the petitioner had engaged several workers to carry out sanitization work but has failed to pay them their wages/salaries. Consequently, the said workers have been approaching the petitioner for demanding their wages. He also states that on

information being received that a number of persons had collected at the petitioner's residence and the PCR van had visited the premises of the petitioner and had advised the workers to prefer their claim before appropriate forum.

Insofar as the petitioner's prayer for grant of registration of FIR is concerned, the petitioner has an alternative efficacious remedy and this Court does not consider it apposite to pass any orders in this regard. 6.

Insofar as providing protection to the petitioner is concerned, it is apparent that the disputes between the petitioner and respondent nos.4 to 7 have arisen on the failure on the part of the petitioner to pay wages to his workers. Nonetheless, concerned SHO is directed to ensure that proper law and order is maintained. The SHO shall also examine the complaint of the workmen and if any offence is made out he shall take such steps against the petitioner as warranted in accordance with law. 7.

No further orders are required to be passed in this petition. The same is disposed of. All the pending applications are also disposed of. VIBHU BAKHRU, J MAY 22, 2020 MK
