This hearing has been held through video conferencing. 2.

Parole is sought for Mr. Sant Saran Nehra by his father Mr. Yogender Kumar Nehra in this petition.

The admitted position is that Mr. Sant Saran Nehra (hereinafter, "convict") is in Tihar Jail and has been convicted and sentenced in SC No.57212/2016 vide order dated 29th January, 2020 in FIR No.226/2011 under Sections 302/397/411/182/201/120-B/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. As per the order on sentence, the Petitioner's son has been convicted for life. Parole is sought on the ground that the mother of the convict has already passed away and the father is all alone and suffering from various ailments.

On the last date, status report was called for, along with the nominal roll. The status report has been filed by Mr. Lao, ld. ASC, which reveals that the convict has not been released on parole ever since his conviction and award of sentence. The address of the Petitioner has been verified. The nominal roll also shows that the Petitioner's son has been in jail for more

than 8 years and 7 months.

Under these circumstances, the Petitioner's son i.e., Mr. Sant Saran Nehra, is granted parole until 15th June, 2020, subject to the following conditions:

(i) He shall not leave Delhi.

(ii) He shall report to the SHO of PS Moti Nagar every Monday at 11:00 am and shall give the active mobile numbers of himself and the Petitioner to the SHO.

(iii) He shall furnish one surety to the tune of Rs.20,000/-. 6.

Subject to compliance of the above conditions, the Petitioner's son is granted parole till 15th June, 2020. He shall surrender on 16th June, 2020. 7.

The petition is disposed of in the above terms. All pending applications are also disposed of.
