O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 261/2024 By way of the present petition filed under section 29A(4) & (5) of the Arbitration & Conciliation Act 1996, the petitioner seeks extension of the mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator, who is seized of their disputes with the respondent.

The record shows that the learned Sole Arbitrator was appointed by the parties vide letter dated 09.06.2020. After a consensual extension of the mandate of the learned Sole Arbitrator, the parties obtained an extension of mandate from the court vide order dated 16.08.2023 O.M.P.(MISC.)(COMM.) 261/2024 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. Mr. Udit Seth, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner/claimant submits that the matter is now at the stage of final arguments and is listed next before the learned Arbitrator on 16.05.2024 and 17.05.2024.

Mr. Hemant Gupta, learned counsel appears for the respondent on advance copy; accepts notice; and does not oppose the extension sought.

Upon a conspectus of the averments contained in the petition and the submissions made, the petition is allowed; and the mandate of the learned Sole Arbitral is extended, as prayed-for, by 06 months from 01.04.2024.
