% 12.09.2019 In this petition, quashing of FIR No.993/2016, under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC, registered at police station Vasant Vihar, Delhi is sought. Learned counsel for the parties state that the parties have amicably settled the matrimonial dispute and in terms thereof, total amount of Rs.15,00,000/- has been paid by petitioners to respondent No.2/ complainant. It is stated that the parties have obtained decree of divorce with mutual consent from the Family Court at Jabalpur. A copy of decree sheet dated 19th August, 2019 has been placed on record. Learned counsel for the parties state that since the matrimonial

dispute stands amicably resolved between the parties and decree of divorce has been granted, the FIR in question and proceedings emanating therefrom be brought to an end.

Heard. In view of settlement arrived at between the parties and the fact that decree of divorce has been obtained by the parties, this petition is allowed. Accordingly, FIR No.993/2016, under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC, registered at police station Vasant Vihar, Delhi and the proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

This petition stands disposed of.
