O R D E R

% 27.05.2020 This hearing has been held by video conferencing. This petition has been filed by the petitioners claiming that petitioner nos.1 to 5, on their return from Indonesia, have been quarantined at a facility near Sultanpuri and were being supplied with food and water alongwith the persons who have tested positive for Covid19. The learned counsel for the respondent who appears on an advance notice, on instructions submits that this is not so and separate facilities for supply of food and water, etc. are being made for the persons who are in the quarantine and have tested positive for Covid-19. The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that this has been done only after the filing of the present petition. Be that as it may, the respondent has assured that food, water and other facilities are being separately provided and shall be separately provided to the persons in the quarantine who have tested positive for the

Covid-19. The respondent is bound to this statement. As far as petitioner nos.6 to 8 are concerned, the grievance of the petitioners is that the flat where they have been quarantined was latched from outside. The learned counsel for the respondent submits this was done on one day due to a mistake. He submits that this has already been rectified and will not be repeated for the petitioner or any other person in the quarantine. The respondent is bound to the statement made. The learned counsel for the respondent further submits that for the own safety of the petitioners, the petitioners must restrict themselves to the flat as there would be a possibility of them contracting the Covid-19 virus, if they were to venture outside the flat. He submits that this has been communicated to the petitioners as a matter of advisory.

The counsel for the respondent further submits that in any case, the period of quarantine of the petitioners is coming to an end tomorrow, that is 28.05.2020, and on being found negative for the virus, the petitioners would be discharged from the quarantine and this would be done as per the guidelines issued by the ICMR.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of. The order shall be uploaded on the website and shall also be provided to the learned counsels on the e-mail address provided. NAVIN CHAWLA, J MAY 27, 2020 RN/sd
