The Petitioner has approached this Court for a direction to the Respondents for renewal of his passport.

Material on record discloses that the Petitioner had obtained a NoObjection from the Metropolitan Magistrate, 6th Courts Calcutta for the purpose of renewal of his passport and this Court on 02.04.2024 had directed the learned Counsel for the Respondents to take instructions as the Petitioner has already obtained a No-Objection and, therefore, there is no impediment for the Respondents in renewing the Passport of the Petitioner. 3.

Learned Counsel appearing for the Respondents has got instructions and has handed over a Communication dated 03.04.2024 which states as under:

"2. Upon receipt of the aforesaid application, police enquiry was conducted against and report was also received. According to the police verification report, it is found that the applicant involves in the following cases:

a) Case No.360/10 u/s 419/420/467/468/471 14 PS New Market b) Case No.99/23 u/s 120B/370/465/467/468/471 IPC Human Trafficking PS Shakerpeare Sarani.

Apart from the above, one additional case GR No.5707/17 PS NSCBI Airport Case No.76/17 is revealed which is pending against the applicant." 4.

The aforesaid communication indicates that there are at least three cases pending against the Petitioner and the Petitioner has to obtain NOC for all the three cases before renewal of his passport. 5.

Learned Counsel for the Petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the present writ petition with liberty to take steps in accordance with law. 6.

Permission and liberty, as sought for, granted. 7.

The writ petition is disposed of, along with pending application(s), if any.
