The present petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking a limited relief viz. that the appeal preferred by the petitioner under Rule 22(3)(4) of the Delhi Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules, 2009, against the order dated 25.08.2023 passed by the District Magistrate/Deputy Collector in Case No.126 of 2022 be decided expeditiously.

Learned counsel for the respondent nos.1 and 2 submits, on instructions, that the concerned Appellate Authority who is currently seized of the matter shall prioritize the hearing of the appeal and will endeavour to decide the same as expeditiously as possible. 3.

It is assured and undertaken that hearings will be scheduled at short intervals so as to ensure that the appeal is decided in a time bound manner. 4.
