The present petition under Section 29A (5) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 has been filed seeking extension of nine months for completion of arbitration proceedings.

Issue notice, learned counsel for respondent accepts notice. 4.
Perusal of the record shows that the arbitrator was appointed by this Court in the year 2017. However, in the meantime, IRP proceedings were initiated against the petitioner company. Implementation of the resolution plan was completed in March 2023. Thereafter, the arbitration proceedings were commenced on 17.08.2023.

No.448/2023) for six months w.e.f 25.09.2023. It is submitted that presently the case is at the stage of claimant evidence and the mandate has expired on 24.03.2024.

Learned counsel for the respondent submits that she has no objection in the extension of the mandate of arbitral tribunal. 6.
In such facts and circumstances, the mandate of the Ld. Arbitral tribunal is extended for a period of eight months from today i.e., till 31.12.2024. Further the period lapsed from 24.03.2024 till date is also regularized.

The present petition stands disposed of.
