The hearing has been conducted through Video Conferencing. 2.

This petition is filed for grant of parole to petitioner for two months for maintaining social ties and to look after his family and to arrange funds in pandemic situation viz Covid-2019. 3.

It is submitted during parole period the petitioner will reside at his residence i.e. Gali No.4-B, Swatantar Nagar, Narela, Delhi110040. In the past also, he was released on parole; lastly from 20.12.2018 to 30.01.2019. Recently, the petitioner applied for parole but it was rejected by the Government of NCT of Delhi vide order dated 09.06.2020 on the ground of his unsatisfactory jail conduct, being punishment dated 01.03.2018 for threatening and use of force on co-inmate to pay Rs.5,000/-.

It is not disputed despite the punishment dated 01.03.2018, the petitioner was granted parole from 20.12.2018 to 30.01.2019, hence rejecting the request of petitioner for parole on the ground of W.P.(CRL) 856/2020

punishment dated 01.03.2018, in my opinion was not justified. 5.

In the circumstances, the petitioner is granted parole for a period of one month from the date of his release from prison, on his executing a personal bond of Rs.10,000/- to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent/Duty MM. The surety of the like amount shall be furnished by the petitioner within a week of the learned Trial Court resuming its normal functioning. However, if the period of parole expires before the learned Trial Court starts/resumes its normal functioning and the petitioner surrenders, then there shall be no need to furnish the surety before it.

The petitioner is also directed to provide his contact number/address to the SHO of police station Chandni Chowk, Delhi as also he shall keep open his location application in his mobile at all time.

The petition stands disposed of in above terms. 8.
