CORAM:

HON'BLE MS. JUSTICE INDERMEET KAUR

% 04.08.2017 Learned counsel for the respondents has instructions to submit that where there is a family matter (as is so in the instant case), the Policy of the Department is being reviewed and the case of the petitioner can be considered favourably. Learned counsel for the respondents points out that the letter dated 24.09.2015 rejecting the prayer of the application for conversion was for the reason that only one applicant i.e. Nazneen Khan had signed the application and the second co-owner Dr. Asan Ali Khan has not signed the said application. Learned counsel for the respondents additionally points out that on an appropriate application being filed by both the coowners (jointly), the said application shall be considered by the Department in view of its reviewed Policy subject to other formalities and other documents to be produced by the petitioner. On the

appropriate application being filed by the petitioner, the respondent will answer the same within a period of three months from the receipt of the application.

Petition disposed of.
