This writ petition is filed by the petitioners seeking the following reliefs:

"I.

Issue a writ of mandamus directing respondents to grant exemption to the petitioners from appearing in the final examination of Diplomate of National Board and declare them to have completed their course; Or II.

Issue writ of mandamus against the respondents and direct them to reduce the passing percentile of the final DNB theory examinations held in December, 2019 to 35 percent from 50 percent (by applying other rules of grace marks mutatis mutandis); Or III.

By issuing writ of mandamus direct the respondents to hold the final DNB theory examinations at the institution level by the 30th June, 2020; Or.

IV.

Direct the respondents to decide the representations made by the petitioners dated 18th May, 2020 at the earliest."

The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that in view of the recent judgment of the Supreme Court, most of the prayers of the present writ petitions are infructuous.

He however submits that DNB theory examination is now being held on 24.09.2020 at 23 centres. He submits that in view of the present Covid-19 pandemic, it would be appropriate for the respondents to consider increasing the number of centres so as to enable the students to conveniently give their exams.

Let the respondents treat this writ petition(confined to the above prayer) as a representation of the petitioners and deal with the same as per law and as per their procedure.
