% 03.06.2020 CRL. M.A. No. 7114/2020 (for exemption) Exemption is granted, subject to just exceptions. The application stands disposed of.

W.P.(CRL.) 862/2020 This petition was filed by the petitioners seeking security and protection of their life and liberty from their parents and relatives, for the reason that the petitioners had got married against the will of their respective families.

Mr. Arun Dhiman, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners states however, that as of yesterday, there has been a reconciliation and rapprochement and the petitioners' families have consented to the matrimonial alliance.

Mr. Dhiman states that the petitioners, who are now residing together, do not have any imminent threat from respondents Nos. 4, 5, 6 and 7. Upon being queried, Mr. Dhiman also confirms that petitioner No. 1 is aged about 26 years and petitioner No. 2 is aged about 24 years; and that they have got married at the Arya Samaj Vedic Mandal (Regd.) Temple at Vishwas Nagar, Shahdara, Delhi. He further states that at the insistence of the families, the petitioners have also performed a social marriage ceremony at the Arya Samaj Mandir, Janak Puri, New Delhi with the concurrence of their respective parents.

Mr. Piyush, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the State submits that in view of the statement made by Mr. Dhiman, no intervention appears to be needed from the State respondents.

In view of above, nothing survives in the present petition, which is accordingly disposed of as withdrawn. As requested by counsel for the petitioners, liberty is granted to the petitioners to take such steps as may be available in law, if they perceive any threat in the context of the issue raised in the present petition. 6.
