The present petition has been filed by the Petitioner- Mr. Amarjeet under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, inter alia, seeking directions to the Respondents to issue a Certificate of Vending (hereinafter, 'CoV') to the Petitioner and to allow the Petitioner to peacefully vend at his vending site at Chirag Enclave Road, opposite B-1, Pamposh Enclave, near Mohalla Clinic, Greater Kailash, New Delhi, South Zone (hereinafter, 'vending site'). 3.

The case of the Petitioner is that he is a vendor, who is stated to be working as a tailor from the vending site. It is stated that he has been running a small vend with a sewing machine from the vending site, for several years. 4.

Delhi Municipal Corporation. However, the grievance of the Petitioner is that, despite being surveyed, the CoV has not been issued to him and he is not being allowed to peacefully vend from the vending site. 5.

On the last date of hearing i.e. 24th April, 2026, notice was issued in this petition and ld. Counsel for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (hereinafter, 'MCD') was directed to file a status report. 6.

Today, a status report has been handed over on behalf of the MCD, as per which, a provisional CoV has been issued to the Petitioner in the category of 'Others'. The status report also states that the Petitioner would be a mobile vendor.

Considering the fact that the Petitioner is a tailor, the Petitioner is exempted from Condition No. 11 of the provisional CoV. He shall, however, maintain cleanliness in and around the vending site and shall not set up any permanent or temporary structure.

The above stated directions shall be subject to any plan which the Town Vending Committee-II may be coming up with in terms of Section 21 of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014 and no vested rights shall be claimed. 9.

It is made clear that the Petitioner shall not be disturbed subject to compliance with all the other conditions of the CoV. 10.

The petition is disposed of in the above terms. All pending applications, if any, are also disposed of.
