The present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarika Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 has been filed by the Petitioner seeking issuance of a writ of habeas corpus for the production of her daughter, who is about 22 years of age and stated to be missing since 27.02.2025.

Notice in the present Writ Petition was issued on 02.04.2025. 3.

The daughter of the Petitioner has been traced. Status Report has been filed. The Status Report reveals that the missing girl has stated that the present Petitioner is not her real father and that the Petitioner wants to get The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. her marriage solemnized against her will, due to which, she had left the house and is residing elsewhere.

The person, who was missing, whom the Petitioner alleges is her daughter, who in fact is not, is 23 years of age and undergoing a PostGraduation. She states that she has left the home on her own accord. 5.

The instant Petition is nothing but a complete abuse of the process of law as the Petitioner has made deliberate false statements in the Court. 6.

In view of the above, the Writ Petition is disposed of by imposing costs of Rs.25,000/- upon the Petitioner to be deposited with "Armed Forces Battle Casualties Welfare Fund" within three weeks from today. Pending application(s), if any stands disposed of.

If the costs is not deposited by the Petitioner within three weeks from today then appropriate steps be taken to recover the costs from the Petitioner.

The Police is directed to ensure that adequate safety is provided to the girl present in Court.
