The present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. on behalf of the petitioner seeking quashing of FIR No. 198/2022 registered under Sections 498-A IPC at P.S. Maidangarhi, Delhi on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes. 2.

The present FIR is an outcome of a matrimonial dispute between the complainant/respondent No. 2 (wife) and petitioner (husband). 3.

Mr. Nawal Kishore Jha, learned APP for the State, submits that in the present case petitioner is the only accused and respondent No. 2 is the only complainant/victim and that chargesheet has been filed under aforesaid sections.

together since July, 2022.

Petitioner and respondent No.2 are present in Court and have been identified by their counsel as well as by the IO/ SI Raj Kumar PS Maidangarhi, Delhi. Respondent No. 2 confirms that she has been happily living with her husband i.e., petitioner since July, 2022 and as of now she has no complaint against her husband. She further states that she is giving this statement out of her own free will, volition and without any coercion. She also states that she has no objection if the present FIR and the consequent proceedings are quashed.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that no other proceedings are pending between the parties.

The parties shall remain bound by the statements and undertaking made in Court today.

In view of the above facts and since no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the present criminal proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.
