Application under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023/Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, has been filed on behalf of the Applicant/Petitioner, Deva Ram seeking waiver of the cost of Rs.20,000/- imposed vide Order dated 02.04.2025 for permitting the cross-examination of PW-35.

It is submitted that the Petitioner is in judicial custody for last ten years and has no means to pay this cost. The left arm of his wife is amputated and she is also trying to meet the expenses by working as a house-maid.

Therefore, a request is made that the cost may be waived. 6.
