The present petition has been filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. on behalf of the petitioner seeking quashing of FIR No. 859/2013 registered under Sections 498-A/406 IPC at P.S. Mangol Puri, Delhi on the ground that the parties have amicably settled their disputes. 2.

The present FIR is an outcome of a matrimonial dispute between the complainant/respondent No. 2 (wife) and petitioner (husband). 3.

Mr. Sanjeev Sabharwal, learned APP for the State, submits that in the present case petitioner is the only accused and respondent No. 2 is the only complainant/victim and respondent No. 2 is the only complainant/victim and that chargesheet has been filed under aforesaid sections. 4.

Learned counsels for the parties submit that after ironing out their differences the parties have settled their disputes and are happily living together since 2018.

well as by the IO/ SI Manita PS Mangolpuri, Delhi. Respondent No. 2, who is also present in Court, has been identified by the IO confirms that she has been happily living with her husband i.e., petitioner since 2018 and as of now she has no complaint against her husband. She further states that she is giving this statement out of her own free will, volition and without any coercion. She also states that she has no objection if the present FIR and the consequent proceedings are quashed.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that no other proceedings are pending between the parties.

The parties shall remain bound by the statements and undertaking made in Court today.

In view of the above facts and since no useful purpose will be served in continuance of the present criminal proceedings, it is directed that the aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings arising therefrom are hereby quashed.

With the above directions, the petition is disposed of along with pending application.
