The present petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 482 CrPC seeks the following reliefs:- (i) Issue writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order and direction according to the facts and circumstances of the present case.
(ii) Issue writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writs, orders and directions against the respondent no.1 and 2 for grant of protection to the petitioner and his family from any mishappening done by the respondent nos.3 & 4 and further direct the respondent no.1 to 2 to registered FIR
for blackmailing and extortion and false implication by the respondent no.3 and 4.

Mr.Piyush Singhal, learned APP, who appears on advance notice submits that the petitioner claims to have made complaint to the concerned DCP on 03.06.2020 and assures the Court that the concerned DCP will expeditiously examine the complaint and take steps as required under law. He further submits that the petitioner has already been supplied with the mobile number of the SHO, Maurya Enclave in an earlier similar petition filed by him in W.P.(Crl)3507/2019 and it is, therefore, open to the petitioner to contact the said SHO and the beat Constable, in case, he apprehends any threat to his life.

In view of the aforesaid stand taken by the learned APP, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press the present petition and the same is, accordingly, dismissed as not pressed. REKHA PALLI, J JUNE 08, 2020 SR
