It is admitted that, out of 69 prosecution witnesses, only 19 have been examined till date.

After some arguments, Mr. R.N.Sharma, learned counsel for the applicant submits, on instructions, that, for the present, he would be satisfied if the application is disposed of with a direction to the learned trial court, as well as the IO, to ensure that recording of evidence of the remaining public witnesses - those who are non-official witnesses - is concluded within six months from today.

The present application is disposed of with the aforesaid direction.

The applicant shall be at liberty to re-approach this Court, for grant of regular bail, after the conclusion of the recording of evidence of non-official witnesses, or after six months, whichever is earlier. 5.

Any such application, if moved, would be decided on its own merits.

It is made clear that this Court has not opined, one way or otherwise, on the merits of the application.
