The present petition has been filed by petitioners seeking that the respondent be directed to install new electricity connection/s in the name of petitioners at premises bearing No. H. No.A-10B (Back Portion), Panchsheel Vihar, Post Office Malviya Nagar, New Delhi-110017 and H. No.A-10B (Front Portion), Panchsheel Vihar, Post Office Malviya Nagar, New Delhi110017. 2.

Learned counsel for the respondent, who appears on advance notice, submits that the electricity connection/s shall be granted to the petitioners, subject to the petitioners filing fresh applications and complying with the applicable codal and commercial formalities, and subject to an undertaking being furnished by the petitioners that in case grant of electricity connection/s is interdicted by any policy that may be issued by the MCD, the respondent shall be entitled to take suitable action/disconnect the electricity connection/s of the petitioners.

The present petition is, accordingly, disposed of with a direction to the respondent to process fresh application/s that may be filed by the petitioners for installation of new electricity connection/s at the aforesaid premises, subject to the petitioners complying with applicable codal and commercial formalities and subject to the petitioners furnishing the aforesaid undertaking.
