The petitioner, who is employed in the Air Force Senior Secondary School, Palam, as a Laboratory Assistant, seeks convening of a Departmental Promotion Committee ["DPC"] so that he may be considered for the vacant posts of Trained Graduate Teacher ["TGT"] (English) and TGT (Social Science).

Mr. Ashok Kumar, who appears through video-conferencing, states that he is the Head of the School. made a request to the respondent No. 3 - Directorate of Education ["DoE"], Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi, for reconstitution of DPC to fill up various vacant posts but the DoE has not yet taken a decision.

In view of this position, the writ petition is disposed of, with the direction that DoE may take appropriate action within a period of six weeks from today.
