Exemption allowed, subject to the condition that petitioner will file the duly sworn/attested affidavit and the requisite Court fee within 72 hours from the date of resumption of the regular functioning of this Court.

This petition is fled by the petitioner No.1 since she apprehends danger on her life as also upon the life of petitioner No.2 - with whom she propose to marry. The threat is from her parents and relatives etc viz respondents No.2 to 5 herein. 5.
Presently the petitioner No.
is residing at Laxmi Nagar, Delhi. She allegedly belong to Bhumidaar caste whereas the petitioner No.2 belong to Kurmi caste as such despite both the petitioners intend to marry, her parents/ relatives are
totally against such alliance and she apprehends honour killing by her parents/ relatives etc. In the present petition, prayer is made by the petitioners that she be granted police protection as also a direction to respondent No.2 to follow guidelines in Shakti Vahini vs Union of India (2018) 7 SCC 192, one of such guidelines being:- "53. (c) Additionally, immediate steps should be taken to provide security to the couple/family and, if necessary, to remove them to a safe house within the same district or elsewhere keeping in mind their safety and threat perception. ................"

The learned ASC for the State appearing on advance notice assures police shall provide protection to petitioner No.1 and she shall be provided with the mobile numbers of the Beat Staff/Investigating Officer/ SHO concerned in case of any problem that may arise to her because of the alleged threat etc. He also assures due compliance of guidelines (supra).

In view of the submissions so made, this petition stands disposed of.
