By way of the present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution, the petitioners seek a direction upon the police authorities to provide safety, security, and protection from apprehended threats from respondent Nos. 3 to 9.

The case of the petitioners is that respondent Nos. 3 to 9, who are residents of the same village, have threatened the petitioners due to caste based animosity.

appears on advance notice, submits that the petitioners' complaint has been received only yesterday and that necessary action, in accordance with law, will be taken as far as respondent Nos. 3 to 9 are concerned. It is also submitted that the telephone numbers of the concerned Station House Officer and Beat Constable will be provided to the petitioners, so that they may contact them in the event of any exigency. 4.

In view of the aforesaid submission, and as no further orders are sought in the present writ petition, the same is disposed of. 5.

It is made clear that this Court has not issued notice to respondent Nos. 3 to 9, and this order is not intended to reflect upon the veracity of the petitioners' allegations. Needless to say, the rights and contentions of the parties remain reserved.

A copy of the order be given dasti under the signature of the Court Master.
