By way of the present petition, the petitioner is seeking issuance of writ, in the nature of mandamus, directing the respondent to release the petitioner on parole, for a period of four weeks. 2.

The learned ASC for the State, on instructions from the Investigating Officer (IO) concerned, states that the application filed by the petitioner before the competent authority will be decided within a period of 10 days from date.
