The petitioner has filed the present petition, inter alia, praying that directions be issued to release the petitioner on emergency parole for a period of eight weeks to lookafter his pregnant wife. 2.

The nominal roll produced with the petition indicates that the petitioner is serving a life sentence for committing an offence punishable under Section 302 IPC. In addition to furlough, the petitioner has been granted parole on three previous occasions and interim bail on three occasions.

It is seen that the petitioner had jumped his interim bail, which was granted from 11.11.2012 to 23.11.2012. He was re-arrested on 27.12.2012. The petitioner was also granted parole from 02.11.2015 to 02.12.2015 but he had jumped parole and was re-arrested on 20.05.2016. Recently he was

granted furlough for a period of three weeks on 16.10.2019 and was required to surrender on 06.11.2019. But he jumped and was re-arrested on 24.01.2020.

Given the past conduct of the petitioner, this Court does not consider it apposite to allow the present petition.

The same is, accordingly, dismissed.
