This hearing has been held through video-conferencing. 2.

The Petitioner in the present case has been charged with committing offences under Sections 376D and 506 of IPC. The Petitioner seeks bail on the ground of his mother's illness. As per the nominal roll, he has been in custody since 13th February, 2020. As per the status report, which has been filed, the Petitioner was allegedly present at the house where the victim was stated to have been taken by Mr. Mohit Gulati. Thus, the main accused in this matter is Mr. Mohit Gulati.

The medical records of the Petitioner's mother have been verified by the prosecution. The doctor has confirmed his mother's surgery, which is fixed on 9th July, 2020. The victim was also served notice by the IO, pursuant to the last order. She has joined today's proceedings by video conferencing and her submissions have been heard. After hearing ld. counsels for the parties as well as the victim, considering the fact that the surgery of the Petitioner's mother is verified, this Court is satisfied that the Petitioner is entitled to interim bail. Accordingly, interim bail is granted for a period of three weeks from the date of release, subject to the following conditions:

(i) That the Petitioner shall furnish a personal bond to the tune of Rs. 20,000/- along with a surety of like amount, to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent, Central Jail No. 4, Tihar Jail, New Delhi. (ii) The Petitioner shall not contact the victim or her family in any manner whatsoever and will also not visit the area where the victim is residing, i.e. Rohini, Delhi.

(iii) The Petitioner shall also not contact any of the prosecution witnesses or do anything which may cause any impediment in the trial. (iv) The Petitioner shall give his active mobile number to the IO and shall be in touch with the IO, Ms. Manisha Yadav, on a regular basis i.e. at least 2 to 3 times in a week and will also provide his residential address where he is residing during this period, to the IO. 4.

The Petitioner shall surrender upon the expiry of 3 weeks from the date of his release. Copy of this order be sent to the Jail Superintendent, Central Jail No. 4, Tihar Jail, New Delhi.
