The Petitioners have filed the present petition assailing final order and judgment dated 16th March, 2023 passed by the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC) in batch of first appeals, including First Appeal No. 2019 of 2018. One of the parties to the said appeals was the Respondent, Sh. Col. Kashmir Chand (Retd.), who has since deceased. Through order dated 20th March, 2024, his legal representatives were impleaded as parties in the present petition. 2.

conferencing. They state that they do not wish to pursue the consumer case wherefrom the impugned order arises. In such circumstances, the Petitioner has filed the instant application seeking release of the amount of INR 2,00,000/- which was deposited with the Registrar General of this Court in terms of order dated 11th May, 2023.

In view of the aforenoted statement made by the Legal Representatives of late Sh. Col. Kashmir Chand (Retd.), the Petitioners' request is allowed. Accordingly, the above-captioned application is disposed of with the direction that the Registry shall release amount of INR 2,00,000/-, along with accrued interest, in favour of the Petitioners in account No. 2181245601032021, IFSC Code - AUBL0002456, held in AU Small Finance Bank, Lajpat Nagar - IV, New Delhi. 4.

In light of the above, at request, the present petition, along with pending applications, is dismissed as withdrawn. 5.
