This is a writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following prayers:- "i. issue a writ of mandamus or any other suitable writ, order or direction to the Respondents to process and decide petitioner's application for grant of recognition of D.El.Ed. course in time bound manner; and/or ii. issue a writ of mandamus or any other suitable writ, order or direction to Respondents to follow the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) notified by NCTE while processing and deciding Petitioner's application for grant of final recognition of D.El.Ed. course under Clause 7(16) of The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. For the reasons stated in the petition, issue notice. 3.

Mr. Kapoor, learned counsel accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

Mr. Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioners, states that petitioners' applications are pending with the respondents for a substantially long period of time and the same have neither been returned nor have been processed in terms of the decision taken in the 55th General Body Meeting of the respondent No. 1/NCTE.

He further states that the petitioners have duly complied with all the procedural requirements as well as the extant rules. 6.

In view of the above, the petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the pending applications of the petitioners in accordance with the 55th GBM Meeting and either return the same (if found not in accordance with the parameters) or if found fulfilling the parameters, then the same be processed in accordance with their extant rules within 4 months from today.
