The petitioner has filed the present application seeking extension of interim bail that was granted to the petitioner/applicant for availing medical treatment.

The applicant was released on interim bail with effect from 18.02.2020 in order for him to avail medical treatment. The applicant had contended that he required to undergo angiography and further treatment on urgent basis.

The applicant's treatment remains inconclusive and, therefore, he requested for extension of interim bail, which was granted on 02.06.2020
and the interim bail was extended till 15.06.2020. The applicant now seeks further extension of interim bail on the ground that due to outbreak of COVID-19, he was advised not to take admission in the hospital immediately and to wait till the outbreak of COVID-19 was controlled. 5.
It is thus seen that currently the applicant is waiting before he can avail necessary medical treatment. In the aforesaid circumstances, this Court does not consider it apposite to extend the interim bail any further. However, the concerned authorities are directed to ensure that all necessary medical treatment is provided to the applicant. 6.
The applicant is also at liberty to apply once the schedule for admission into the hospital and availing further treatment has been finalised. 7.
It is seen that by an order 02.06.2020 interim bail granted to the applicant was extended in view of the orders passed by the Division Bench of this Court in W.P.(C) 3037/2020 captioned 'Court on its Own Motion v. State and Ors.', whereby all interim orders were extended till 15.06.2020. It is clarified that if the Division Bench of this Court passes any order further extending the interim orders already passed the same would also inure to the benefit of the applicant and the interim bail granted to the applicant would also be automatically extended in terms of any blanket order passed by the Division Bench extending interim orders.
