By way of the present petition, the petitioner seeks quashing of FIR No. 139/2017 under Sections 323/341/308/34 IPC registered at Police Station Vasant Kunj, Delhi, and the proceedings emanating therefrom. 2.

The petitioners and respondent Nos. 2 to 5 are present in the Court and they have been identified by their respective Counsel as well as by the Investigating Officer.

The facts of the case show that on 31.03.2017, a fight broke between the petitioners and respondent Nos. 2 to 5 and consequently, FIR No. 139/2017 under Sections 323/341/308/34 IPC was registered at Police Station Vasant Kunj, Delhi.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the parties submit that with the intervention of the family members and well wishers, the parties have entered The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above.

into a settlement vide Settlement Deed dated 11.09.2023 (Annexure D) before Delhi Mediation Centre, Patiala House Courts, New Delhi. It is stated that an amount of Rs.50,000/- has already been paid to respondent Nos. 2 to 5 and the balance amount of Rs.3,00,000/- has been paid today to respondent Nos. 2 to 5 by way of two demand drafts bearing Nos. 884817 and 561015 amounting to Rs.1,50,000/- each drawn on Punjab & Sind Bank dated 04.04.2024.

Respondent Nos. 2 to 5 who are present in the Court acknowledge the receipt of the aforesaid amount. They submit that they have entered into the aforesaid settlement with their own free will, volition and without any coercion. They further state that they have no objection if the present FIR and consequent proceedings are quashed, as they are left with no claim against the petitioners.

The statement and undertaking given on behalf of the parties is taken on record and they are held bound by the same. 7.

Taking into consideration the overall facts and circumstances of the case and the fact that the parties have arrived at an amicable settlement voluntarily, without any force, therefore, under such circumstances, there is no reason as to why genuine settlement between the parties shall not be encouraged.

Hence, the FIR No. 139/2017 under Sections 323/341/308/34 IPC registered at Police Station Vasant Kunj, Delhi, and the proceedings emanating therefrom are hereby quashed.

The petition is accordingly disposed of.
