On the last date of hearing i.e., 4th May, 2026, the Appellant - Abdul Rashid Sheikh had filed an application seeking modification of order dated 28th April, 2026 in view of the fact that the father of the Appellant is stated to have been moved to Delhi and is admitted in AIIMS, Delhi. Vide order dated 4th May, 2026, this Court directed as under: "3. In terms of the order dated 28th April, 2026, the Appellant was released on 30thApril, 2026 and had reached Srinagar on the very same day. However, on 2ndMay, 2026, the father of the Appellant was shifted to AIIMS, Delhi,due to his medical condition.

April, 2026 is sought, seeking permission for the Appellant to be with his father at AIIMS, Delhi while being on interim bail.

Today, the address of the premises where the Appellant would be residing in Delhi while being on interim bail has been given. The same is an address at Lajpat Nagar, Delhi and is stated to have been taken on rent on an overnight basis by the Appellant. The said address is not of any relative or acquaintance of the Appellant.

Under these circumstances, since the Appellant's father is already in AIIMS, Delhi and the intention of the order dated 28th April, 2026 was that the Appellant gets to spend time with his father, who is ill, the said order is modified to the effect that the Appellant shall be permitted to meet his father from 8.00 A.M. to 8.00 P.M. on a daily basis till 10th May, 2026 at AIIMS, Delhi. After the said time elapses, the Appellant shall be lodged back in the concerned jail.

During the period of interim bail, the Appellant shall be accompanied by at least two police officials in plain clothes, who shall stand outside the ward.

All the remaining conditions in terms of the order dated 28th April, 2026 shall continue.

It is made clear that a mobile phone shall be available with the Appellant only during the period when he is available with his father at AIIMS, Delhi, and not while he is in custody. With these modifications, the present application is disposed of. 9.
