This hearing has been done through hybrid mode. 2.
This is a petition filed by the Petitioner-Chinmay Gupta under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (hereinafter, '1996 Act') seeking extension of the mandate of the ld. Arbitral Tribunal. 3.
As per the petition, the disputes between the parties arise out of a lease deed on 25th May, 2019, for renting out the Petitioner's premises situated at 129, Hargobind Enclave, New Delhi - 110092. A ld. Sole Arbitrator was appointed on 20th January, 2022. First extension of the mandate was carried out by the consent of parties on 13th May, 2023, for a period of six months. Thereafter, the mandate was again extended on 30th November, 2023, till 30th April, 2024, Since the mandate is about to expire, hence the present petition.

The matter is pending before the ld. Sole Arbitrator - Justice Rajiv Sahai Endlaw (Retd.) who has fixed the matter for final hearing this month The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. from 17th to 20th April, 2024. Evidence is stated to have been concluded. 5.
Ld. Counsel for the Petitioner concedes that the adjournments before the ld. Sole Arbitrator was sought by him due to some scheduling conflicts. Ld. Counsel for the Respondent does not oppose the extension of mandate. 6.
In these circumstances, the mandate of the ld. Arbitrator is extended by a further period of six months.

The petition is accordingly disposed of. All pending applications, if any, are disposed of.
