CONT.CAS(C) 514/2025 1.

This contempt petition alleges wilful disobedience of order dated 13th February 2025, passed in W.P. (C) 1207/2025. The Writ Petition had been filed by the petitioner seeking directions to respondent nos.1-3 to take immediate steps against respondent no.8-11, to cancel the registration of respondent nos. 8 & 10. The basis was that respondent nos. 8 & 10 companies had cheated the petitioner and caused loss of about Rs.54 Crores. 2.

had stated that he would look into the matter and no further directions were passed.

Mr. Ripudaman Bhardwaj, Standing Counsel appears today, on advance notice, and states that they have checked the records of respondent nos.8 & 10 and according to their information, they are not registered companies.

Notwithstanding, counsel for petitioner states that they will provide the records to the Ministry of Corporate Affairs ('MCA'). 5.

Moreover, counsel for petitioner admits that there is no Court order declaring that said respondents have cheated the petitioner, though an FIR has been registered and proceedings are still underway. 6.

In view of these submissions, the Court does not consider it fit to keep the petition pending.

The petitioner is at liberty to place their data before the appropriate authorities/Registrar of Company/ Registrar of Firms and Societies or any other entity which they wish to approach. It is up to the petitioner to take steps in accordance with law.

Contempt petition cannot subsist in these circumstances. As regards the order dated 13th February 2025, on the submission of counsel for MCA, no further directions are required.

As and when any representation is filed by the petitioner, that will be considered by the appropriate authorities in accordance with law. 10.

The petition is disposed of.
