In the present petition the petitioner has sought a limited relief, viz. that the respondent be directed to hear and expeditiously decide a complaint dated 12.01.2025 filed by the petitioner before the National Commission for Scheduled Castes/respondent.

Given the innocuous nature of the prayer sought, the respondent is directed to schedule a hearing in respect of the complaint filed by the petitioner and dispose of the same as expeditiously as possible. 3.
The learned counsel on behalf of the petitioner also submits that since the petitioner is illiterate and incapable of defending himself during the course of hearing before the respondent, the counsel of the petitioner may be allowed to represent the petitioner before the respondent/ Commission. 4.
The respondent/ Commission is requested to consider allowing an authorised representative/ counsel to represent the petitioner during hearing/s of the aforesaid complaint.
