An application under Rule 22(3)(1) of the Delhi Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules 2009 was filed by Sh. Maha Singh (respondent no.3) before the District Magistrate-West, GNCT of Delhi (respondent no.2), seeking eviction of his son (petitioner no.2) and daughter in law (petitioner no.1) from the property being H. No. 608, Ramayan Pana, Village - Tikri Kalan, Delhi - 110041 (hereinafter 'the subject property'). Vide order dated 03.03.2025, the said application was allowed thereby directing the petitioners to evict the subject property within a period of thirty days.

Upon being aggrieved by the aforesaid order dated 03.03.2025, the petitioners filed an appeal before the Divisional Commissioner / Appellate Authority (respondent no.1) under Rule 22(3)(4) of the Delhi Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Rules 2009. However, the said appeal is yet to be heard by the Appellate Authority. 3.

Commissioner, currently seized of the appeal filed by the petitioners be considered and decided expeditiously.

Learned counsel for the respondent no.1, who appears on advance notice, submits that the concerned Appellate Authority will schedule hearings in the present matter on priority and endeavour to ensure that the appeal filed by the petitioners is disposed of within a period of eight weeks from today. It is further stated that the request for interim relief made by petitioner shall also be duly considered and dealt with, within a period of three weeks from today. The said statement is taken on record. 5.
