This writ petition is directed against the order dated 17th November, 2025 passed in Appeal No. 41/2019, whereby Respondent No. 1 has been awarded compensation of INR 20 lakhs in lieu of reinstatement. It was further directed that, in the event the said amount is not paid within a period of six weeks from the date of the order, it shall carry interest @ 9% per annum till realisation.

During the course of the hearing today, both counsels, on instructions from their respective clients, submit that the dispute has been amicably resolved. It has been agreed that, in lieu of the amount of INR 20 lakhs as directed in the impugned order, the Petitioner shall pay a sum of INR 16.50 lakhs to Respondent No. 1 within a period of four weeks from today. In the event of default, the said amount shall carry interest @ 9% per annum till realisation.

Mr. Romy Chacko, Senior Counsel for the Petitioner, further submits, on instructions, that along with the aforesaid payment and within the same timeline, the Petitioner shall also issue to Respondent No. 1 a relieving certificate, character certificate, and experience certificate. 5.
In view of the aforesaid settlement between the parties, the present petition, along with pending applications, if any, stands disposed of. 6.
