The Memoranda under challenge in this writ petition are dated 21 March 2023 and 10 March 2023.

By Memorandum dated 21 March 2023, Petitioner 1 was debarred from taking any University or college or departmental examination or examinations for a period of one year from the date of issuance of the said memorandum.

Mr. Rupal points out, at the very outset, that the period of one year is almost over and that, therefore, this petition, qua Petitioner 1, has been rendered largely infructuous. He, however, submits that the University of Delhi does not desire the Memorandum dated 21 March 2023 to act as a stigma against the petitioner either for any future W.P.(C) 6356/2023 The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. education or any job opportunities which may come in the way of the petitioner in future. He clarifies that the Memorandum should not be taken as stigmatic in nature for future educational or job endeavours. 4.

So far as the second Memorandum dated 10 March 2023 issued qua Petitioner 2 is concerned, the operative portion only requires him to submit a written apology within 15 days, failing which the necessary action, as per Rules, was threatened. There is no material to indicate that any such consequential action was ever taken against Petitioner 2. In case any such action is taken, the rights of Petitioner 2 to agitate any grievance in that regard would stand reserved. 5.

In view of the aforesaid, I do not deem it necessary to continue this writ petition on the record of this Court. The fair statement made by Mr. Rupal is taken on record.
