The present writ petition has been filed challenging the arbitrary action of the respondents in seizing the vehicle of the petitioner bearing Registration No.CH01DD5709.

The petitioner seeks the urgent release and restoration of the said vehicle to the petitioner. It is the contention of the petitioner that the policy relating to BS-III/'End of Life' vehicles is not applicable to the petitioner's vehicle as it is BS-IV compliant.

Counsel for the respondent no.1/MCD submits that the petitioner's vehicle has mistakenly been seized and assures the Court that the said vehicle shall be released during the course of the day. 5.
Taking the aforesaid statement on record, the present writ petition is disposed of while directing the respondents to ensure that the petitioner's vehicle is released to the petitioner during the course of the day.
