By way of these petitions, the petitioners seek quashing of two FIRs, i.e. FIR bearing no. 222/2023, registered at Police Station Baba Haridas Nagar, Delhi, for the commission of offence punishable under Sections 354/323/506/509/34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 (hereafter 'IPC') and Section 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 (hereafter 'POCSO Act') and FIR bearing no. 221/2023, registered at Police Station Baba Haridas Nagar, Delhi, for the commission of offence punishable under Sections 451/354(B)/323/506/509/147/427 of the IPC and Section 12 of POCSO Act and all proceedings emanating therefrom. 2.
The petitioners and respondent no. 2 in both the FIRs are present before this Court and have been identified by their counsels and concerned Investigating Officer (IO) from Police Station Baba Haridas Nagar, Delhi. 3.
Briefly stated, facts of the present case are that the allegations in the aforementioned FIRs, arise out of an incident that had taken place on 11.05.2023, and subsequent to which cross FIRs were registered on the respective complaints against the petitioners under the relevant sections. However, it is stated that both the parties have amicably settled the present matter vide Settlement Deed dated 02.04.2026, entered between them. 4.
On a query made by this Court, respondent no.2/complainant in both the FIRs, who have been identified by the concerned IO, have categorically stated that they have entered into compromise out of their own free will and without any pressure, coercion or threat. It is also stated by them that the entire dispute has been amicably settled between the parties and they have no objection if these cross FIRs are quashed. 5.

purpose will be served by continuing the proceedings, rather the same would create further acrimony between them. It would thus be in interest of justice to quash the abovementioned FIRs and the proceedings pursuant thereto. There is no legal impediment in quashing the FIRs in question. 6.
Accordingly, FIR bearing No. 222/2023, registered at Police Station Baba Haridas Nagar, Delhi, for the commission of offence punishable under Sections 354/323/506/509/34 of the IPC and Section 8 of POCSO Act and FIR bearing no. 221/2023, registered at Police Station Baba Haridas Nagar, Delhi, for the commission of offence punishable under Sections 451/354(B)/323/506/509/147/427 of the IPC and Section 12 of the POCSO Act and all consequential proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. 7.
In view of the above, the present petitions stand disposed of. 8.
