By virtue of the present petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India read with Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, the petitioner seeks parole for a period of eight weeks in view of the medical exigency of his mother who is required to undergo cataract surgery on 15.05.2026 and for her post-operative care. 2.

Issue notice.

Learned ASC for the State accepts notice.

She submits that even though the petitioner was granted furlough for a period of fifteen days on 06.03.2026 and the period thereof expired on 21.03.2026 as also the petitioner has made no application before the Jail Authorities, considering the prayer involved herein, the jail authorities shall look into the same within the time period as specified by the petitioner herein.

In view of the aforesaid, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks to withdraw the present petition.

As such, let the present petition be treated as a representation, for which, an endeavour shall be made to decided the same within a period of two weeks by the concerned Jail Authority.

Accordingly, the petition, alongwith the application therein, is dismissed as withdrawn.

A copy of this order be sent to the incumbent Jail Authority for compliance forthwith.
