This writ petition is filed with the following prayers: "a. allow the present petition in favour of the petitioner by issuing a writ of mandamus or any other writ, directing the respondent to release the petitioner on parole for a period of two months for maintaining social ties, look after family and arranged funds for the same as well as emergency parole due to Covid-19 as per High Powered Committee directions dated 28.03.2020 as well as office order dated 22.05.2020 passed by the Respondent.

It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner since the application for emergency parole has been decided by the competent authority and now the petitioner intends to file a regular parole which need to be looked into by the Competent Authority on merits. 4.

In the circumstances the petition stands dismissed as withdrawn with a liberty being granted to approach the competent authority for filing the application for regular parole and the same may be considered by the Competent Authority as per merits.
