IN THE HIGH COURT OF DELHI AT NEW DELHI

+ CRL.M.C. 454/2018 SYED NUZHAT ALI & ANR.

..... Petitioners Through Dhananjay Kumar Mishra, Adv.

versus STATE & ANR.

..... Respondents Through Ms. Rajni Gupta, APP with ASI Virendra Kumar, P.S. Jafrabad for respondent no. 1 Respondent no. 2 in person

CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK

O R D E R

% 30.01.2018 It is submitted that petitioners and respondent no. 2 are relatives. A quarrel took place between them on some trivial issues, which led to registration of the FIR No. 426/2015 under Sections 341/324/34 IPC at Police Station Jafrabad. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court and has been identified by ASI Virendra Kumar of police station Jafrabad. Respondent no. 2 submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioners of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion before the Mediation Centre on 5th December, 2017 and she has no objection in case the FIR is quashed.

Keeping in view the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in my view no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, FIR No.

426/2015 under Sections 341/324/34 IPC registered at Police Station Jafrabad and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Dasti. A.K. PATHAK, J.
