The present appeal has been filed by the Appellant- State under Section 378 of the CrPC, challenging the impugned judgment of acquittal dated 18th October, 2019, for offences punishable under Sections 6/16 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012.

The impugned judgment was delivered on 18th October, 2019 and the present appeal has been filed after a delay of more than 600 days. The Court has perused the application seeking condonation of delay and is of the opinion that there is no justifiable cause for such a long period of delay in this matter. The delay has not been explained sufficiently. 4.
