% 14.02.2017 Issue show cause notice to the respondents.

Learned Additional Standing Counsel accepts notice for respondent no. 1. Respondent no. 2 is present in person along with her counsel and accepts notice. It is submitted that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably. Marriage of petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent dated 17th February, 2016 passed by the learned Principal Judge, Family Courts (West District), Tis Hazari Courts, Delhi. Petitioner nos. 2 to 6 are relatives

of the petitioner no. 1. Respondent no. 2 is present in Court today and has been identified by SI Roshan Lal, P.S. Nangloi. She admits having settled the matter with petitioner no. 1.

Petitioner no. 1 has paid the remaining settled amount of `1 lac to the respondent no. 2 today in Court. Respondent no. 2 submits that she has now received the entire settled amount. She further submits that she has no objection in case FIR is quashed. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the parties and that the marriage between the petitioner no. 1 and respondent no. 2 has already been dissolved, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, FIR No. 358/2013 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Police Station Nangloi and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
