In substance, the Petitioners pray for compassionate appointment of Petitioner No.2 on account of his father's death on 17.10.2022, while he was working as Safaiwala with 365 RMPL/57 RCC (GREF).

Petitioner No.1 filed an application on 27.06.2022, with the competent authority, seeking compassionate appointment of her son (Petitioner No.2).

The Respondents' assessed the application of the Petitioner's son, along with 420 other applications. While examining the economic criteria, the competent authority found that Petitioner No. 1 scored only 59 marks out of 100 and, hence, placed at Serial No. 85. The competent authority found that Petitioner No. 1 could not be accommodated in the year 2023, however, he may apply in the year 2024.

relative merit point while preparing merit list. 5.

The appointing authority has taken a plausible view and considered various aspects before passing speaking order dated 30.09.2025.

It is also relevant to note that the Petitioners' family gets monthly pension of approximately ₹18,000/-. Hence, no ground to exercise extraordinary jurisdiction.
